Comic Book Comics collection announced!

We're very pleased to announce that Evil Twin's Comic Book Comics series will be collected as THE COMIC BOOK HISTORY OF COMICS in May 2012 from IDW Publishing!

Written by Fred Van Lente
Drawn by Ryan Dunlavey

224pp • B&W • Standard Comic Size: 6.625 x 10.25 • Price TBA

For the first time ever, the inspiring, infuriating and utterly insane story of comics, graphic novels, and manga is presented in comic book form! The award-winning Action Philosophers team of Fred Van Lente and Ryan Dunlavey turn their irreverent-but-accurate eye to the stories of Jack Kirby, R. Crumb, Harvey Kurtzman, Alan Moore, Stan Lee, Will Eisner, Fredric Wertham, Roy Lichtenstein, Art Spiegelman, HergĂ©, Osamu Tezuka — and more! “Done with wit, energy, a healthy dose of insolence and a dedication to getting it right.” — NPR. Collects Comic Book Comics #1-6.

We're very pleased to be working with IDW - more details when we have them!

Can't wait to get this. This is among the best works I have come across that covers all different areas of the history of a modern art form.

Found some typos in the Comic Book Comics #1 and #2. If they haven't been corrected for the collection being published by IDW, is there still time?

(Heading out door now , so don't have time to type out details of what the typos are)

(Tried to post under my LJ name, but got "OpenID error")

I have noticed some typos in Comic Book Comics #1 and #2. If there are typos that you haven't noticed, is there still time to correct them for the collection to be published by IDW?

(2nd attempt to comment. Last week's comment seems to have failed.)

(Still getting "OpenID error" when I try to comment using OpenID/LiveJournal)

Hey EarthFurst thanks so much!

We did catch a lot of typos ourselves, but we may have missed something. If you could email those to , we'd really appreciate it. As I type this we're in the final stages of putting the book together so there's still time to change things.

And thanks for your determination in posting those comments (which I just noticed today) - you rock!
